If your child wants to dance for fun, or gain the strength and technique needed to pursue further dance study, we have the right class! One of the most popular styles at our centre, there are many different Contemporary classes on offer for all ages.
Our Contemporary classes are also perfect for students studying GCSE or A Level Dance.
Students will also have the opportunity to audition for our Contemporary Youth Company on an annual basis.
Our Contemporary classes are split by age, and then ability.
Junior Contemporary classes are for students in school years 3-5.
Senior Contemporary classes are for students in school years 6 and above and are split into three levels.
Senior Contemporary L1
For students in year 6 and above who have little or no previous contemporary dance experience.
Senior Contemporary L2
Suitable for students in year 6 and above who have a sound contemporary foundation and able to take a more challenging class.
These classes form part of our Saturday Performace School where students from year 6 and above can take classes in Jazz, Contemporary, Street, Ballet, Drama Improvisation, Script work and Screen Acting. They can opt to build their own timetable of classes for rounded performing arts education or take individual classes.
